Aims

  • Identification of Head Office efficiency programme

  • Deployment of approved programme

  • Upgrade of human resources systems affecting nearly 20k employees

  • All without disruption or effect on supply chain, operations and customer service

Approach

  • Established separate teams of internal and cross-party resources

  • “Blue Sky” workshops held to establish efficiency solutions, which were then verified to be workable

  • Technical solutions identified in principle

  • Detailed plans developed, with the cooperation of all those involved

  • Detailed comms plans established (involving all layers of organisation)

  • Testing plans established

  • All deployment was “Big Bang” but with suitable failover and regression testing
